About

An independent journal about places, people and ideas that take their time.

Still Water is an independent journal about slower lives: the places worth the journey, the people who make things by hand, and the ideas that need more than a minute to understand.

We travel by train when we can, stay longer than planned and write only about what we would go back to. We pay for our own trips.

Who we are

Anna Lindqvist edits the journal and writes about the north from Stockholm. Claire Moreau writes about mornings, markets and small shops from a village in Provence. Tom Hartley makes bowls in Yorkshire and writes about making things.
